Meet Dawn Johnson

Dawn Johnson is a dedicated advocate for connectivity, community impact, and empowerment. A proud graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Economics, Dawn has spent the last 31 years making a significant impact within the insurance industry. Since 2006, she has been serving the Rock Hill community through The Dawn Johnson Insurance Agency, where she leads a team of licensed professionals in creating personalized insurance plans that safeguard both assets and income.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dawn is deeply involved in various community initiatives. She proudly serves as the Chair of the Black Economic Leadership League of Rock Hill and has held the position of immediate past Chair of the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation. Her commitment to community service has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Dream Keeper Award and the York County Come-See-Me Community Service Merit Award from the City of Rock Hill. Dawn has also received accolades such as the Rock Hill Schools Outstanding Business Partner Award, Optimist of the Year by the Rock Hill Central City Optimists, Uplift & Perseverance Awards by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and Business of the Year by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Notably, Dawn has been honored as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in the Mecklenburg Tri-County area and recognized as a 2023 Top Woman to Watch in Entrepreneurship.

Expanding her impact, Dawn is the visionary force behind Just Dawn Johnson Enterprises, a multifaceted powerhouse housing three distinct pillars: Just Dawn Empowers, Just Dawn Cares, and Just Dawn Financials. Under Just Dawn Empowers, Dawn passionately uplifts Black women through transformative initiatives like the Self-Care Weekend and the Mother Daughter Project, fostering relaxation, renewal, and deep connections through intentional dialogue. Dawn also shares her wisdom through engaging speaking engagements.

In the realm of civic engagement, Just Dawn Cares reflects Dawn's unwavering commitment to positive social change. Serving on multiple non-profit boards, she acts as a catalyst for impactful societal transformation, making her expertise available through public speaking engagements and consulting. Meanwhile, Just Dawn Financials is dedicated to advancing individuals' envisioned lives through comprehensive financial empowerment. Offering personalized sessions, group experiences, and workshops, Dawn guides individuals on their financial journeys, transforming aspirations into tangible realities.
